REVIEW: 3/5 is a good rating from me! It just means I had an average experience; I walked out satisfied but it was not mind blowing. 📓 Thai food has very distinct flavour and for me, it should incorporate at least 2 of the 4 components: Spicy/Sweet/Sour/Savoury. Although Luxsmith were great at pulling out the coconut flavour in the entree dishes, I felt like it was lacking that extra (typically sour notes or more spice) that would make it more Thai to me. Kingfish sashimi was our favourite entree though! Very refreshing 😊. Splitting 3 entrees was an EFFORT between two, so my friend was happy to finish more of the mains so that I had room for dessert. The twice cooked pork belly was juicy, with a saltiness they could've held back a touch on. I did appreciate the spiciness though! 🌶 I found the rice was a little bit too dry for my liking. ♥ Dessert was flawless. I appreciated the array of fresh sweet strawberries which added a refreshing bite to every panna cotta spoonful. The sesame crumble was addictive for the nutty flavour and texture crunch as well. I would highly recommend this to leave you feeling lighter after your meal! 🍓🍓 Service was friendly, and the outfit is very modern. They maximise the amount of natural light coming through, which keeps the interior welcoming and casual. 💡

I consider myself to be quite the harsh critic when it comes to restaurants and the experience I had at this restaurant was unfaultable. Atmosphere was calm and not too loud, staff were friendly and nice, service was quick and professional. For our meals we ordered the set menu/banquet and the food was superb. I enjoyed the variety of trying some new foods but also having some more familiar foods. Favourite entree would have to be the soft shell crab bao, sweet but balanced perfectly with the creamy coleslaw. Favourite main was definitely the massaman curry, so flavourful and the beef brisket just fell apart in my mouth, couldnt get enough of this dish. For dessert we had the white chocolate pandan cheesecake which perfectly finished up our meal, light and creamy with a nice balance of crunchy granola. Would highly recommend this place. Feedback: The only thing that I believe would bring the service that extra notch higher is to have one person serve us through the whole evening instead of 4, just to build up rapport between the waiter and those dining in, and this is if I'm being real nit picky. Other than that my experience was exceptional, thank you

I love the food at Luxsmith but the way they are managing tables and bookings is not customer friendly. I had a booking which I made online 3 weeks in advance. I arrived on time (6pm) and we ordered our food. The food as always was delicious. Its not my first time there. At 7:25 I was asked if we will be ordering desserts as my table was booked for 7:30. I can accept a 2 hour window but not an hour and a half. We said do you think we could order and eat and have coffees in 5 minutes. The waitress said no and that we would now have to leave as the next booking had arrived. We then went around the corner to the Italian restaurant and had dessert and coffee there. This was not an ideal restaurant experience. My friends and I love the food here but this was a xmas dinner get together and to be asked to leave for the next booking was terrible. On the plus side, the Italian restaurant was busy and that will be our next restaurant destination.

Amazing place in the heart of Seddon. The food was superb quality and service was great. We had the Massman curry, Beef Cheek and the drunken chicken with pandan cheesecake and apple crumble for dessert. The curry's were amazing the beef was soft and flavourful. The desserts were good as well however the Pandan cheesecake didn't really have pandan in it. I would definitely rate the apple crumble with the ice cream better. Overall food and the Apple crumble are 10/10

The staff and managers here don't know how to manage their tables. We were waiting 25 mins past the booking for our table to be ready, didn't see any effort to have our table cleared for us. Very unfriendly manager seating people but the other wait staff seemed very nice and sorry for his incompetence. We ended up leaving, ordered pizzas to Mrs Muttons the staff there are so great and it's a nicer vibe.

I booked one of the private dining rooms upstairs for my 30th birthday. From start to finish, the process of booking with Luxsmith was so smooth and easy, and Courtney was really lovely to correspond with! The small dining room was really generously sized and comfortably fit 18 people. We had a really lovely hostess who allowed me to choose the music as we were the only booking that night, and the food was really delicious. We were also given really generous portions of alternative dishes for the people with dietary requirements! All of my friends gushed about how nice the venue, food and night was, and I was sooo happy with how everything went. I would definitely consider booking this venue again.
